Fan Drive - Remove
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the fan spider. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install".
- Position a wrench on the belt tensioner and carefully release the tension of spring (1) on V-belts (2) .

The V-belts are under tension from the spring. If the wrench slips while releasing the belt tension, personal injury may result. Be sure the wrench is properly engaged with the belt tightener. |

- Remove three V-belts (2) .
- Remove bolt (3) from the bracket for the grease fitting.

- Position a lifting sling around belt tightener (4) and the fan drive, as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a suitable hoist.

- Remove two bolts (6). Remove two nuts and remove two washers (5). Remove the fan drive and the belt tightener. The weight of fan drive and belt tightener is 62 kg (137 lb).
