Description of Change: A new procedure is now used to install the cleaner assembly on landfill compactors. This procedure ensures that the components do not loosen and contact the wheels.

Adaptable To: The new procedure is adaptable to first production of the listed landfill compactors that are equipped with the 184-5236 Cleaner Assembly .

(1) Mating Surfaces. (2) Bolts.

1. Ensure that mating surfaces (1) that are shown in Illustration 1 are clean and dry before assembly. Ensure that the mating surfaces are also free of any paint or debris.

2. Install bolts (2) that secure the components with 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound. Do not use any type of lubricant or anti-seize compound on the threads.

3. Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 70 lb ft).

4. Oscillate the rear axle in both directions and rotate the wheels to ensure sufficient clearance is present between the cleaner assembly and the wheels.
