Stopping the Engine

Usage:

PS-300B 4PN

NOTICE

Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load, can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components.

Follow the stopping procedure outlined below, in order to allow the engine to cool and prevent excessive temperatures in the turbocharger center housing, which could cause oil coking problems.

  1. Before stopping the engine, allow the engine to run at low idle with no load for five minutes. This procedure allows the hot areas of the engine to cool gradually and this procedure will extend the life of the engine.
