Backhoe Bucket Linkage - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the backhoe bucket. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Backhoe Bucket Remove and Install" in this manual.
- Place blocking (1) under the backhoe stick.

- Attach a suitable lifting device to coupler (2) .

- Remove retaining ring (3), washer (4), and pin (5) .
- Remove cotter pin (6) and pin (7) .
- Remove coupler (2). The weight of the coupler is 88 kg (195 lb).
- Install clevis (8) to link (9). Attach a suitable lifting device to clevis (8) .

- Remove retaining ring (10), washer (11), and pin (12) .
- Remove link (9). The weight of the link is 25 kg (55 lb).
- Attach a suitable lifting device to cylinder (13) .

- Remove retaining ring (14) and washer (15) .
- Remove pin (16) from the cylinder.
- Remove retaining ring (17) and washer (18) .

- Remove guide plate (19). The weight of the guide plate is 16 kg (35 lb).
- Repeat Step 12 through Step 13 in order to remove the other guide plate.
Installation Procedure
- Place the backhoe stick on suitable blocking.
- Install guide plate (19). The weight of the guide plate is 16 kg (35 lb).

- Install washer (18) and retaining ring (17) .
- Repeat Step 2 through Step 3 for the other guide plate.
- Attach a suitable lifting device to cylinder (13). Align cylinder (13) with the guide plate.

- Install pin (16), washer (15), and retaining ring (14) .
- Install clevis (8) on link (9). Attach a suitable lifting device to clevis (8). Align link (9) with the guide plate. The weight of the link is 25 kg (55 lb).

- Install pin (12), washer (11), and retaining ring (10) .
- Attach a suitable lifting device to coupler (2). Align coupler (12) with the link. The weight of the coupler is 88 kg (195 lb).

- Install pin (7) and cotter pin (6) .
- Install pin (5), washer (4), and retaining ring (3) .
