There is a new version of the diagnostic software that is used on the LDS 3000. The new version is V9/00. The CD that contains the new version has been mailed to dealers with a brief explanation.

With the former version, if the technician thought that there was a problem with the central electric modules, there was no way of diagnosing the problem. Typically, replacing all of the central electric modules was the only option for repair. With the new version, the capability to check the function of each module exists. The CD also includes new software for CEBIS. This software has updated crop settings.

The following steps should be taken in order to load the new version onto the LDS 3000.

1. Make sure that the LDS 3000 is in the docking station and then turn on the power.

2. The LDS 3000 goes directly into the diagnostic menu. Exit the diagnostic menu and return to the main screen for Windows. Select the upper left icon and perform a "System Close Down".

3. When the main screen for Windows appears on the LDS 3000, insert the new CD that contains version V9/00.

4. Select "Language".

5. Press "OK".

6. Select "Language components".

7. Press "NEXT".

8. Wait for a few minutes. Allow the LDS 3000 to finish upgrading.

9. Select "YES, I want to restart my computer" and then remove the CD from the docking station.

10. Press "FINISH".
