The channel for the tensioner control valve must be kept free of dirt and debris. This is necessary for the tension control valve to function properly. Any dirt in the channel may prevent the handle for the tensioner control valve from closing. If the tension control valve is not closed completely, the saw bar tensioner will not operate properly.
