Note: Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the locknuts, studs, and plugs for the exhaust manifolds and support. Also, lubricate seals lightly with glycerin.

(1) Stud

Torque ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)

(2) Elbow

Note: Be certain that the cap plug is removed from each cylinder head before the elbows are connected.

(3) Nut

(4) Stud

Torque ... 27 ± 7 N·m (20 ± 5 lb ft)

(5) Long Bolt

Torque ... 54 ± 7 N·m (40 ± 5 lb ft)

Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the stud for installation. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the nut.

(6) Locknut

Torque the locknuts for the manifold according to the number sequence: ... 38 ± 5 N·m (28 ± 4 lb ft)
