Service Magazine SEPD0532, 12 July 2000, "Replacement Shaft Assemblies for Countershaft Transmissions". Replace this article with the article that follows.

Description of Change: Two new shaft assemblies are available for servicing countershaft transmissions.

Adaptable To: The new 102-7552 Shaft As has replaced the former 8E-7168 Shaft As for the following groups: the 6Y-8156 Clutch, the 8E-7230 Clutch and the 9U-8687 Clutch. The new 102-7550 Shaft As has replaced the former 8E-7169 Shaft As for the following groups: the 6Y-3867 Clutch, the 8E-7229 Clutch and the 9U-8686 Clutch .

The two former shaft assemblies have been discontinued. The two new shaft assemblies are adaptable to all of the listed machines with the replacement and/or removal of specified parts in the affected clutch groups. The parts that are required in conjunction with the replacement of the shaft assemblies are listed in Table 1 and Table 2.
