CID 0277 FMI 08 Timing Calibration signal abnormal
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The ECM detects all of the following conditions:
- Engine speed above low idle
- There is no signal from the timing calibration sensor for five consecutive engine rotations, or the signal varies more than ± 30 degrees.
System Response:
The ECM will log the diagnostic code. The diagnostic code can not be viewed on a display module, but the diagnostic code may be viewed on ET.
- Low power
- Engine misfires
- Reduced engine speed (rpm)
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: Timing Calibration Sensor Circuit - Test
Results:
- OK - STOP
