Description of Change: The bolt that fastens the hydraulic oil filter in place in the hydraulic oil tank has been replaced. The new bolt is 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) longer than the former bolt. The new bolt provides more thread engagement. The quantity of disc springs between the hydraulic oil filter and the hydraulic oil filter cover has been reduced. The number of disc springs has changed from eight disc springs to six disc springs on each filter. The use of fewer disc springs will make installing the hydraulic oil filter into the hydraulic oil tank easier.

The new 166-4846 Bolt is a direct replacement for the former 119-4856 Bolt. The new 166-4846 Bolt and the change in the quantity of the 9J-6379 Disc Springs are effective with 824G (PIN: 4SN422-UP) Wheel Tractors, 825G (PIN: 6RN353-UP) Soil Compactors, and 826G (PIN: 7LN461-UP) Landfill Compactors. The new 166-4846 Bolt and the change in the quantity of the 9J-6379 Disc Springs are adaptable to first production for the machines that are listed.
Tighten 166-4846 Bolt (2) to 56 ± 3 N·m (40 ± 2 lb ft).
