Start By:

  1. Remove the Transmission Hydraulic Control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmision Hydraulic Control - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove two bolts (1). Remove two retainers (2). Remove four sleeves (3) from manifold (4).

  2. Remove O-ring seals (5) from the sleeve.

  3. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers. Remove two drains (6).

  4. Remove six adapters (8), two adapters (9), two adapters (10) and the O-ring seals.

  5. Disconnect electrical connectors (11). Remove eight bolts (13) and the washers. Remove clips (12). Remove wiring harness (14).

  6. Remove twenty bolts (15) and the washers. Remove two modulating valves (16). Remove six bolts (17) and the washers. Remove five modulating valves (18).

  7. Remove two plates (19). Remove four plates (20).

  8. Remove six bolts (21). Remove two control valves (22). Remove sixteen bolts (24). Remove four control valves (23).

  9. Remove nut (25). Remove washer (26). Remove coil assembly (27).

  11. Remove back up ring (33) and O-ring seal (32). Remove back up ring (31) and O-ring seal (30). Remove O-ring seal (29).

  12. Remove eight bolts (34) and the washers. Remove relief valve (35).

  13. Remove fitting (36) and the O-ring seal from the relief valve.

  14. Remove O-ring seal (37) from the fitting.

  15. Remove plug (38) and the O-ring seal from the relief valve.

  16. Remove O-ring seal (39) from the plug.

  17. Remove slug (40) from the relief valve.

  18. Remove two bolts (41) and the washers. Remove adjustment cover (42).

  19. Remove O-ring seal (43) from the adjustment cover.

  20. Remove four bolts (44) and the washers. Remove cover (45) from the relief valve.

  21. Record the length of bolt (46) for installation purposes. Remove bolt (46) from the cover.

  22. Remove O-ring seal (47) from the relief valve.

  23. Remove stop (49) and spring (48) from the relief valve.

  24. Remove spool (50) from the relief valve.

    ------ WARNING! ------

    Possible injury can result when removing the retaining ring and spring.

    Spring force will be released when the retaining ring is removed.

    Be prepared to hold the cylinder assembly as the retaining ring is removed.

  25. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (51) from the spool.

  26. Remove retainer (54), spring (53), and ball (52) from the spool.

  27. Remove orifice plug (55) from the spool.

  28. Remove twelve bolts (56). Remove plate (57).

  29. Remove thirteen bolts (59). Remove plate (58). Remove two plugs (60) and the O-ring seals.

  30. Remove O-ring seal (61) from the plug.
