The group comes with two 153-2682 Gas Springs and two 153-2683 Gas Springs. Two is the maximum number of springs that are used on the machine. A standard machine configuration for a Skid Steer Loader is equipped with one heavy lift 153-2682 Gas Spring. The gas spring is mounted on the right hand side of the cab (1).

The number of needed gas springs depends on the cab assembly's total weight factor. A cab assembly's total weight factor is determined by adding up all the weight factors in Table 1. Only add up the weight factors which are found on your machine's cab assembly.

If the cab assembly's total weight factor is between zero points and two points, you must install one 153-2682 Gas Spring on the right side of the machine (1).

If the cab assembly's total weight factor is between three points and six points, you must install two 153-2683 Gas Springs on the machine. Install one 153-2683 Gas Spring on the right side of the machine (1). Install one 153-2683 Gas Spring on the left side of the machine (2) .

If the cab assembly's total weight factor is between seven points and nine points, you must install two springs on the machine. Install one 153-2682 Gas Spring on the right side of the machine (1). Install one 153-2683 Gas Spring on the left side of the machine (2) .

If the cab assembly's total weight factor is equal to or greater than 10 points, you must install two heavy lift 153-2682 Gas Springs on the machine. Install one 153-2682 Gas Spring on the right side of the machine (1). Install one 153-2682 Gas Spring on the left side of the machine (2) .

Install the 153-2682 Gas Spring and the 153-2683 Gas Spring with the piston rod downward. No paint or foreign material is allowed on the surface of the rod.
