The pilot pressure port is located in front of the hydraulic tank on the left side of the tractor. An access panel has been removed for photographic clarity. (1) Pilot pressure port |
- Install the steering frame locks.
- Stop the engine and make sure that the hydraulic pressure is zero.
- Install a 7000 kPa (1000 psi) pressure gauge to the pilot pressure port (1) .
- Start the engine and read the pressure gauge. The output pressure should be 4825 ± 340 kPa (700 ± 50 psi).
- Stop the engine and remove the test equipment.
- Remove the steering frame locks.

The pressure reducing valve is located in front of the hydraulic tank on the left side of the tractor. Remove the side access cover in order to access the pressure reducing valve. (2) Pressure reducing valve |
- Stop the engine. Make sure that the hydraulic pressure is zero. Install the steering frame locks.
- Remove the end cap of pressure reducing valve (2) .
- Install a 7000 kPa (1000 psi) pressure gauge to the pilot pressure port (1).
- Start the engine. Measure the output pressure of the pressure reducing valve by reading the pressure gauge. The output pressure should be 4825 ± 345 kPa (700 ± 50 psi).
- Turn the adjustment screw clockwise in order to increase the pressure setting. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure setting. One turn of the adjustment screw is equal to approximately 1400 kPa (200 psi). Do not turn the adjustment screw more than 1/4 turn at a time.
- If an output pressure of 4825 ± 340 kPa (700 ± 50 psi) cannot be reached, attach a 25000 kPa (3000 psi) pressure gauge to the brake pressure port (3). Read the brake pressure. The pressure should be greater than 4825 ± 340 kPa (700 ± 50 psi).

- If the brake pressure is not greater than 4825 ± 340 kPa (700 ± 50 psi), see Testing and Adjusting, "Piston Pump (Brake) - Test and Adjust".
- Stop the engine and remove the test equipment. Install the end cap of pressure reducing valve (2). Remove the steering frame locks.
