(1) Chassis Control Module (CCM). (2) Rockshaft Potentiometer. (3) Rear Cab Ground.

This fault code indicates electrical noise, or interference is affecting the rockshaft potentiometer input of the Chassis Control Module (CCM).

  1. Inspect all Chassis Control Module (CCM) connectors, ground wires and cab ground strap for loose fitting connectors or pulled out terminals. Do the connectors fit loosely or are the terminals pulled out?

Expected Results: The connectors fit loosely. The terminals are pulled out.

    • YES, reconnect connectors or reattach terminals for proper fit and recheck fault codes. If fault code is not active, repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 2.

  1. Measure the resistance from the CCM connector C006-5 and C006-13 to the cab ground post, while moving or flexing the harness.

Expected Result: There is an open circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit in the Cab Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 3.

  1. Measure the resistance from the cab ground post to the cab mount termination, while moving or flexing the ground strap.

Expected Result: There is an open circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit in the cab ground strap by cleaning grease, oil and/or corrosion from the ground strap attachment points. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 4.

  1. Measure the resistance from the rockshaft potentiometer harness connector C157-B to the ground post on the cab mount while moving or flexing the harness. The resistance should be 3000 ohms.

Expected Result: There is an open circuit.

    • YES, locate and repair open circuit in the Rear Main harness. Check fault code and if no longer active the repair is complete.

    • NO, go to Step 5.

  1. Download latest control module software into all control modules.

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, go to Step 6.

    • NO, repair is complete. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.

  1. Replace the Chassis Control Module (CCM).

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, install the original CCM and repeat this troubleshooting procedure.

    • NO, go to Step 7.

  1. Install the original CCM.

Expected Result: The fault code is active.

    • YES, original CCM was faulty. Replace original CCM with new CCM. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.

    • NO, this fault code may have been caused by faulty connectors. Keep the original on the tractor. Clean all terminals on the CCM and reconnect. If fault code is not active, repair is complete. Download latest control module software into all modules. Calibrate transmission and three-point hitch.
