The interlock manifold valve (1) contains the following components: (2) test port PS2, (3) check valve, (4) modulating valve, (5) modulating valve, (6) solenoid valve ( parking brake), (7) solenoid valve ( hydrostatic), (8) solenoid valve ( work tool), (9) return port T, (10) return port T1, (11) test port PS1, (12) accumulator, (13) check valve, (A) outlet port, (B) outlet port, (C) outlet port, (D) outlet port, (E) outlet port, (F) inlet port and (G) inlet port.
Return port T (9) returns oil from the pilot operated hydraulic control ( hydrostatic) to the return manifold. Return port T1 (10) returns oil from the ball valve to the return port T. There is an orifice in return port T1. The orifice provides a controlled manual lowering of the lift arms.
Solenoid Valve ( Hydrostatic)

(14) Interlock control |
The solenoid valve ( hydrostatic) (7) is a three-way, two-position valve that is controlled by the interlock control (14) .
The inlet port (G) supplies oil to the solenoid valve ( hydrostatic). When the solenoid is energized by the interlock, oil passes from the inlet port (G) through the passage in the solenoid. From the solenoid, oil flows out of the outlet port (B) to the solenoid valve ( hydrostatic).
Solenoid Valve ( Work Tool)

(15) Hydraulic shutoff switch |
The solenoid valve ( work tool) (8) is a three-way, two-position valve that is controlled by the hydraulic shutoff switch (15) .
The inlet port (F) supplies oil to the solenoid valve ( work tool). When the solenoid is energized by the interlock, oil passes from the inlet port (F) through the passage in the solenoid. From the solenoid, the oil flows out of the outlet port (C) to the pilot operated hydraulic control ( work tool).
Solenoid Valve ( Parking Brake)
Illustration 4 | g00554535 |
(16) Parking brake switch |
The parking brake solenoid (6) is a three-way, two-position valve that is controlled by the parking brake switch (16) on the left side console.
The inlet port (F) supplies oil to the parking brake solenoid. When the solenoid is energized by the interlock, oil passes from the inlet port (F) through the passage in the solenoid. From the parking brake solenoid, oil flows out of the outlet port (A) to the parking brake.
Modulating Valves (if equipped)
Illustration 5 | g00554573 |
(17) Auxiliary circuit switch |
The modulating valves (4) and (5) are two-position, two-way valves that are normally closed. When the interlock control (14) is lowered, the valves are active and the valves can then be activated by the auxiliary circuit switch (17). The left side of the switch activates the top auxiliary line. The right side of the switch activates the bottom auxiliary line. When the switch is pushed on either side, the respective modulating valve is energized. Then, oil passes from the inlet port (F) through the valve. From the valve, oil flows out of the outlet ports (D) and (E) to the auxiliary control valve.
Accumulator
The accumulator (12) is charged to a pressure of 900 kPa (130 psi) with nitrogen. When the engine is running the accumulator is filled as the oil is supplied from the inlet port (F). The accumulator supplies oil to the pilot hydraulic system when the engine has been turned off. The engine start switch key must be in the ON position in order for the pilot valves to function with the accumulator. The accumulator has an oil capacity of 0.5 L (0.53 qt).
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Equipment Lowering with the Engine Stopped" for more information on the operation of the accumulator.
