牵引力控制系统(TCS)使用后轮停车制动器来降低空转车轮的转速。 后轮停车制动器属于弹簧接合、液压释放制动器。 TCS 使轮胎有更好的接地条件,可获得更大的扭矩量。 TCS 系统由制动器 ECM 控制。

制动器 ECM 通过三个输入信号监控驱动轮。 制动器 ECM 监控的信号一个来自于各驱动轴,一个来自变速箱输出轴。 制动器 ECM 检测到驱动轮空转时,会发送信号至选择器阀和比例阀。 选择器阀和比例阀则会依次启动相应车轮的制动器。 当右轮轴和左轮轴之间的轴比回到 1:1 时,制动器 ECM 将释放制动器。

牵引力控制系统(TCS)以前称为自动电子牵引力辅助系统(AETA)。 新旧系统在运行方面没有什么变化, 其主要差别在于电子控制模块的外观,同时 TCS 现在是连接到卡特彼勒数据链路上。 卡特彼勒电子技师现在可以与 TCS 进行通信。

行车制动器开关通过卡特彼勒数据链路向 TCS 提供输入信号。

行车制动器开关具有两种功能:

  • 1. 当行车制动器或减速器接合时,TCS 会阻止所有功能运行。

  • 2. 行车制动器开关提供执行诊断测试所需的输入信号。
