Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the cab rear cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Note: Mark all of the wires that are connected to main power magnetic switch (1) for installation purposes.

1. Remove two nuts (2) from the terminals of main power magnetic switch (1) in order to remove the wires.

2. Remove two nuts (3) from the terminals of main power magnetic switch (1) in order to remove the wires.

3. Remove two bolts (4) in order to remove main power magnetic switch (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Verify that all of the components of main power magnetic switch (1) are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

2. Inspect all of the components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

3. Use two bolts (4) to install main power magnetic switch (1).

4. Use two nuts (3) in order to install the wires to the terminals of main power magnetic switch (1). Tighten two nuts (3) to a torque of 2.00 ± 0.25 N·m (1.48 ± 0.18 lb ft).

5. Use two nuts (2) in order to install the wires to the terminals of main power magnetic switch (1). Tighten two nuts (2) to a torque of 6.0 ± 0.5 N·m (4.4 ± 0.4 lb ft).

1. Install the cab rear cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cover (Cab Rear) - Remove and Install".
