- Make sure that draft arms (11) are not extended.
Draft arm extensions (7) can slide out of the draft arms. This allows you to easily connect to an implement.
- Pull locking pin (5) in order to extend the draft arm.
- Once the implement is connected, move the machine rearward until the locking pins drop. This secures the extensions.
- Adjust the length of lift links (8) in order to level the implement horizontally.
Use the following procedure in order to adjust a lift link.
- Remove retaining pin (4) from the locking tab.
- Pivot adjusting lever (6) upward.
- Rotate adjusting lever (6) around the lift link in order to adjust the length of the lift link.
- Adjust the lift links so that ball assembly (10) is 254 mm (10 inch) above the ground when the hitch is fully lowered.
- When the adjustment is complete, pivot adjusting lever (6) downward onto the locking tab.
- Install retaining pin (4) into the locking tab.
- Use the float for the draft arm or lock out the float for the draft arm.
Note: The float allows the draft arms to move up and down. This allows vertical movement of the implement that is independent of the machine.
Use the following procedure in order to configure a draft arm into the desired position.
- Remove retaining pin (13) and plate (12) .
- Slide pin (14) outward until pin (14) can be rotated.
- Rotate the pin. In order to use the float, align the head of pin (14) with guides (9). In order to lock out the float, the head of pin (14) must be perpendicular to guides (9) .
- Slide pin (14) inward until the pin is seated.
- Install plate (12). In order to use the float, seat the plate into guides (9). In order to lock out the float, the plate must be perpendicular to the guides.
- Install retaining pin (13) .
- Adjust center link (1) .
- Raise handle (3). Use handle (3) to rotate housing (2) .
- Adjust center link (1) so that there is 724 mm (28.5 inch) between the centers of the ball assemblies at each end.
- When the adjustment is complete, push handle (3) downward into the retainer on housing (2) .
Note: If the center link is not used, the center link can be removed. The center link can also be stored in the UP position with the hook that is provided.
- Position the sway blocks in the desired position.
The sway blocks control the side movement of the draft arms. The sway blocks are fastened to the support for the drawbar.
- To prevent side movement of the implements, rotate the sway blocks to the forward position. Secure the sway blocks in the forward hole.
- To allow side movement of the implement during operation, rotate the sway blocks to the rearward position. Secure the sway blocks in the rear hole.
