Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Install

Usage:

980G 2KR

Installation Procedure

  1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the transmission hydraulic control valve and the transmission.

  1. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to lifting eye (22), as shown.

  1. Carefully lower transmission hydraulic control valve (9) into the transmission. The weight of the control valve is 52 kg (115 lb).

  1. Align the control valve with four bolts (21). Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

  1. Install two O-ring seals (19) on sleeve (20) .

  1. Install sleeve (20) and pressure tap (18) in the transmission hydraulic control valve housing.

  1. Install two O-ring seals (16) on sleeve (17) .

  1. Install sleeve (17) and pressure tap (15) in the transmission hydraulic control valve housing.

  1. Install O-ring seal (13) on sleeve (14) .

  1. Install sleeve (14) and plug (12) in the transmission hydraulic control valve housing.

  1. Install four bolts (21). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 48 ± 4 N·m (35 ± 3 lb ft).

  1. Check the condition of the O-ring seals that are used on sleeves (11). If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

  1. Install two sleeves (11) in transmission hydraulic control valve (9) .

  1. Install bolt (10) and the washer to secure sleeves (11) to the control valve. Ensure that the washer has engaged the notch in each of the sleeves.

  1. If necessary, install a new gasket on cover assembly (2) .

  1. Install electrical connector (7) through cover assembly (2) and lower the cover in position.

  1. Check the condition of the O-ring seal on electrical connector (7). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement.

  1. Position electrical connector (7) in cover assembly (2) with the notch in alignment.

  1. Install nut (8). Tighten the nut to a torque of 9 ± 1 N·m (7 ± 1 ft).

  1. Install four bolts (5) on top of cover assembly (2) .

  1. Install the hose clip and bolt (6) .

  1. Install sixteen bolts (3) to the lower flange of cover assembly (2) .

  1. Align the pins of transmission control harness (4) and install the harness.

  1. Install air conditioner hose (1) .

End By:

  1. Fill the transmission to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
  2. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
  3. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
