Inspect Drum Scrapers

There are four drum scrapers on the machine. There is an inner scraper and an outer scraper on both the front drum and the rear drum.

Check the scrapers for debris. Check the drum scrapers for damage and wear. Clean the debris off the drum scrapers.

Adjust Drum Scrapers

1. Inspect scraper (2). Clean the scraper of any debris.

2. Loosen bolts (5) for two turns. Loosen bolts (6) .

3. Adjust springs (4) and scraper blade (2) until the scraper just contacts the drum (1). The scraper must not deflect.

4. Tighten bolts (5) and (6) to a torque of 54 N·m (40 lb ft).

Replace Drum Scrapers

1. Loosen bolts (5) and (6) .

2. Remove bolts (3) .

3. Remove the scraper and replace the scraper (2) .

4. Install the bolts and tighten bolts (3) .

5. Adjust springs (4) and scraper (2). Perform steps 1 through 4 in "Adjust Drum Scrapers ".
