The engine drives a variable displacement piston pump in order to provide hydraulic power for the drive motor. The drive motor is a variable displacement motor. The drive motor is mounted to the hydrostatic drive. The hydrostatic drive is fastened to the rear axle. A drive shaft connects the rear axle to the front axle.
The parking brake is fastened to the input shaft of the front axle. The parking brake is manually activated. Pull up the parking brake lever in order to engage the brake.
The service brake for (PIN: 7ZM1-5998ZM1-499) is located in the front axle. The service brakes for (PIN: 7ZM600-UP8ZM500-UP) are located in the front axle and the rear axle. The service brake is activated hydraulically by the service brake pedal. Push down the service brake pedal in order to engage the brake hydraulically. Partially depressing the service brake will provide inching movement with high engine speed.

(3) Creeper speed control. |
Speed select switch (2) is used to select the SLOW speed mode or the FAST speed mode. Speed select switch (2) allows low ground speed with high engine speed. If the machine is equipped with a creeper speed control, the speed select switch is incorporated in the creeper speed control (3) .
Direction control lever (1) is used to select the direction of the machine. The accelerator pedal controls the speed of the machine.
The hydrostatic system shifts to the NEUTRAL position when the parking brake is engaged. Once the parking brake is released, the direction control lever must be moved to the NEUTRAL position before a direction can be selected.

Location of the Service Connector |
If a standard machine is equipped with auto ride control, load check or supplemental steering, then an electronic control module is installed. The service connector for the electronic control module is located under the right side of the cab next to the ladder.
