Cab Air Filter - Clean/Replace

Usage:

45 3BK

------ WARNING! ------

To avoid personal injury, always wear eye and face protection when using pressurized air.

----------------------

Clean the cab air filter when there is a significant reduction in cab air circulation.

  1. Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position.

  1. Close the windows.

  1. Close the door strongly. When you close the door, back pressure will dislodge the loose dirt on the underside of the cab air filter.

  1. Stand on the cab platform. Grasp rail (2). Loosen retaining screw (3) .

  1. Lower the front of cover (4) in order to access the filter element.

  1. Remove the filter element.

  1. Clean the filter element or replace the filter element. In order to clean the filter element, use pressurized air. Use a maximum of 205 kPa (30 psi). Force the dirt out of the element in the direction that is opposite of the normal air flow. Do not bump the air filter or tap the air filter in order to clean the air filter.

  1. Clean the filter housing with a damp cloth.

  1. Install the new filter or the clean filter. Rubber seal (5) should face the cab roof.

  1. Close cover (4). Tighten retaining screw (3). Move mirror (1) to the mirror's original position.

Charcoal Filter

A 142-7069 Filter is interchangeable with the standard filter. The charcoal filter drastically reduces any odors from outside of the cab. When you clean the filter only use a maximum of 482 kPa (70 psi) pressurized air. The air nozzle should be kept at least 50.8 mm (2 inch) from the filter element. Do not clean the filter with water.

Note: The charcoal filter is only for the reduction of odors. This filter is not intended for filtering hazardous materials.
