PTO Shield Adjustment

Shield (1) provides protection to personnel from entanglement with the rotating PTO shaft. Use rod (2) in order to adjust the shield to three positions.
Position (A) - The shield is tilted upward. Only use this position while you attach an implement's PTO shaft to the machine. Lower the shield to position (B) after you attach the PTO shaft.
Position (B) - The shield is level. Use this position during normal operation of the PTO.
Position (C) - The shield is tilted downward. When you use implements that do not use the PTO, move the shield to position (C). This will provide clearance for the top link on the three-point hitch. Also, position (C) provides improved visibility to the drawbar.
