Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean
- Release hose clamp (1) and disconnect hose (2) .

- Unscrew bolt (3) and remove breather (4) .
- Wash the breather in a clean, nonflammable solvent. Wipe the breather with a clean, dry cloth.
- Inspect breather seal (5). If necessary, install a new seal.
- Shake the breather until the breather is dry. You may also use pressurized air to dry the breather. Install the breather.
- Inspect the hose for damage. If the hose is damaged, replace the hose.
- Install hose (2) to the breather, and secure the hose with the clamp.
- Lower the hood.
