Installation Procedure

1. Verify that all of the components of the electric drive pump are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.

2. Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

3. Position a lifting sling around electric drive pump (9), as shown. Fasten the lifting sling to a hoist.

4. Position electric drive pump (9), as shown. Install four bolts (8) and the washers. The weight of the electric drive pump is 26 kg (57 lb).

5. Apply 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the studs on electric drive pump (9). Connect two cable assemblies (7) to electric drive pump (9). Tighten the nuts on electric drive pump (9) to a torque of 20 ± 2 N·m (15 ± 1 lb ft).

6. Connect hose assembly (6) to the pump.

7. Connect hose assembly (5) to the pump.

8. Position baffle assembly (4), as shown. Install three bolts (3) and the washers that hold baffle assembly (4) to the frame assembly.

9. Attach Tooling (A) to guard (2). Position a lifting sling on Tooling (A), as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a suitable hoist. Position guard (2), as shown. Install four bolts (1) and the washers. The weight of guard (2) is 22 kg (49 lb).

10. Install the remaining 15 bolts (1) on guard (2).

11. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7092, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change".
