Roading the Machine

Usage:

65E 1GM
Check all fluid levels before you road the machine.

Check the travel route for overhead clearance. Also check the travel route for proper width.

Fully raise the three-point hitch. Place the three-point hitch mode switch in the "AUT" position. Move the three-point hitch control lever through full range until the hitch moves in order to put the hitch in automatic mode. This will prevent the hitch from drifting. Move the depth stop toward the operator. The depth stop should contact the front of the three-point hitch control lever. Tighten the knob on the depth stop. This helps prevent inadvertent movement of the three-point hitch control lever.

Rotate the master light switch to the ROADING LIGHTS position.

NOTICE

Before you tow equipment/implements, make sure that you comply with all national laws.

Reduce speed if the directional stability of the machine is noticeably reduced.

When you road the machine, reduce the speed by downshifting the transmission. Do not reduce the speed by reducing the engine speed. Higher engine speeds maximize steering response.

Note: Do not use the decelerator. Cover the decelerator while you are roading the machine.

When you tow drawbar implements, secure the drawbar in order to prevent swing.
