Transmission Electronic Control Module - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove top (1) of transmission selector lever.

  1. Remove eight screws (2) .

  1. Remove rear panel assembly (3) .

  1. Reposition the front panel assembly in order to access the transmission electronic control module. The transmission electronic control module is located under the rear panel.

  1. Disconnect one electrical connection (4) .

  1. Disconnect one electrical connection (7) .

  1. Remove four bolts (5) and four washers (6) .

  1. Remove transmission electronic control module (8) .

Installation Procedure

  1. Install transmission electronic control module (8) .

  1. Install four washers (6) and four bolts (5) .

  1. Connect one electrical connection (7) .

  1. Connect one electrical connection (4) .

  1. Correctly position the front panel assembly.

  1. Install rear panel assembly (3) .

  1. Install eight screws (2) .

    Note: When screws (2) are installed, tighten the screws to a torque of 9 ± 3 N·m (6.6 ± 2.2 lb ft).

  1. Install top (1) of transmission selector lever.
