The accelerator pedal controls the machine ground speed. The accelerator pedal will only allow the machine to travel as fast as the setting of the machine speed control.

The accelerator pedal can also control the speed of the engine. The minimum engine speed may be set by using the engine speed control when the machine is being operated in the working mode.

Apply slight pressure to the accelerator pedal in order to release the brakes and the pendulum arm lock. Press the accelerator pedal further in order to move the machine. Releasing the accelerator pedal will automatically apply the brakes and the pendulum arm lock.
Note: The pendulum arm lock is only affected when the pendulum arm lock switch is in the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Pendulum Arm Control" for more information.
