  1. Make sure that all parts are thoroughly clean prior to assembly. Apply clean SAE 30 oil to all parts.

  1. Install two locating dowels in oil pump manifold (4). The correct assembled height of the locating dowels is 5 ± 0.5 mm (0.20 ± 0.020 inch).

  1. Install O-ring seal (7) .

    Oil Pump Manifold

  1. Use Tooling (A) to install two sleeve bearings (8) in oil pump manifold (4). Install the bearings into the bores so that the bearings are 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (.06 ± .02 inch) below the surface. Install the bearings so that the bearing joints are 30 ± 15 degrees from the centerlines of the shafts, as shown.

  1. Install pump gear assembly (6) .

  1. Install pump drive gear assembly (5) in oil pump manifold (4) .

    Oil Pump Manifold

  1. Use Tooling (A) to install two sleeve bearings (3) in oil pump cover assembly (2). Install the bearings into the bores so that the bearings are 1.50 ± 0.50 mm (.06 ± .02 inch) below the surface. Install the bearings so that the bearing joints are 30 ± 15 degrees from the centerlines of the shafts, as shown.

  1. Install oil pump cover assembly (2) .

  1. Install six bolts (1) in oil pump cover assembly (2). The torque for bolts (2) is 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

End By: Install the transmission oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Oil Pump - Install".
