(1) Apply 7M-7456 Compound to the bore of the tension cylinder before you install the end bearing. Install the end bearing. The center of the end bearing should be perpendicular to the centerline of the cylinder rod.
(2) Bore of new cylinder head ... 70.13 ± 0.03 mm (2.761 ± 0.001 inch)
(3) Diameter of a new cylinder rod ... 69.800 ± 0.038 mm (2.7480 ± 0.0015 inch)
(4) Bore of new cylinder tube ... 234.90 ± 0.10 mm (9.248 ± 0.004 inch)
(5) Torque for cap for nitrogen charging valve ... 5 ± 1 N·m (44.3 ± 8.9 lb in)
(6) Apply 4C-5593 Anti-Seize Compound to the bolt. Torque for the bolt ... 3600 ± 400 N·m (2650 ± 300 lb ft)
(7) Apply lubricant to the sealing lip. Use the lubricant that will be sealed in the cylinder.
(8) 6E-4123 Spring
- Test length ... 647.07 mm (25.475 inch)
- Test force ... 96700 ± 7736 N (21755 ± 1740 lb)
- Length after test ... 732.8 mm (28.85 inch)
- Outside diameter ... 215.9 mm (8.50 inch)

(9) Apply lubricant to the sealing lip. Use the lubricant that will be sealed in the cylinder.
(10) Apply 7M-7456 Compound to the bore of the tension cylinder before you install the seal. Apply lubricant to the seal.
Note: Before you install the tension cylinder, coat the following items with 4C-5593 Anti-Seize Compound : pin bores, frame and front axle.
