Detail Of Circle Adjustment |
(1) Torque for four bolts ... 700 ± 40 N·m (520 ± 29 lb ft)
(2) Thickness of shim ... 0.80 mm (.031 inch)
(3) Thickness of shim ... 0.25 mm (.010 inch)
As required, use 8X-8409 Shim (2) and 8X-8408 Shim (3) to achieve the following endplay with face (6). ... 0.60 ± 0.20 mm (.024 ± .008 inch)
(4) Mating surfaces must be free of paint and lubricant.
(5) Torque for five bolts ... 500 ± 65 N·m (370 ± 48 lb ft)
(7) Adjust the setscrews in order to obtain Dimension (C) between the circle (13) and the pinion (12). ... 50.0 + 2.5 - 0.5 mm (1.97 + .10 - .02 inch)
(8) Torque for eight nuts ... 200 ± 30 N·m (150 ± 22 lb ft)
Note: Hold setscrews (7) when you are tightening nuts (8) .
(9) Thickness of shim ... 0.76 mm (.030 inch)
(10) Thickness of shim ... 0.25 mm (.010 inch)
As required, use 6G-1915 Shim (9) and 6G-1914 Shim (10) to obtain the maximum clearance at Dimension (B). ... 0.5 mm (.02 inch)
Note: The circle must be able to rotate completely without causing the circle drive motor to stall at 13800 kPa (2000 psi).
With the circle in contact with the front shoes, adjust the setscrews on the rear shoes in order to obtain the following maximum clearance at Dimension (A). ... 0.8 mm (.03 inch)
Note: Hold the setscrews when you are tightening the nuts.
(11) Torque for 12 bolts ... 475 ± 60 N·m (350 ± 44 lb ft)
