Some 9G-9113 Bearing Retainers used in 785, 789 and 793 Off-Highway Truck transmissions, may have been improperly machined which could result in unsatisfactory service life of the component. The bearing journal diameter on the 9G-9113 Retainer may be undersized, which will allow for a poor fit of the 6Y-3484 Bearing. The loose bearing fit could allow for bearing race creep or movement, which may lead to poor bearing life and failure. |
Inspect all 9G-9113 Retainers purchased from September 26th, 2014 to December 10th, 2014 from dealer parts stock. Measure the bearing journal diameter to determine if the part is conforming. The outer bearing journal on the 9G-9113 Retainer should measure 114.31 +/- 0.008 mm diameter. Conforming parts should be marked and returned to stock. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
