Usage:
start by:
a) remove valve cover
1. Remove six bolts that hold the rocker shaft assembly.
2. Remove the rocker shaft assembly (1).
3. Remove the push rods (2).
Install Rocker Shaft Assembly And Push Rods (D330C, D333C, 3304 & 3306 Marine Engines)
1. Install the push rods.
2. Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the rocker shaft bolt threads.
3. Put the rocker shaft in position on the engine and install the washers and bolts.

The dowel pins (A) on each end of the rocker shaft assembly must be in alignment with the holes (B) in the cylinder assembly. If the pins and holes are not in alignment during installation of the rocker shaft assembly, damage to the rocker shaft assembly will result. |
SIX CYLINDER ENGINES
FOUR CYLINDER ENGINES
4. Tighten bolts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (1, 2, 3, 4 for 4 cylinder engines) in number order to a torque of 115 lb.ft. (15.9 mkg). Tighten four cylinder engine bolts to same torque and in same order. Tighten the bolts again in number order to a torque of 175 ± 5 lb.ft. (24.2 ± 0.7 mkg). Last, tighten (hand torque only) the bolts in number order to a torque of 175 ± 5 lb.ft. (24.2 ± 0.7 mkg).
5. Make an adjustment to the valves to get a clearance of .015 in. (0.38 mm) and exhaust valves to get a clearance of .025 in. (0.64 mm).

a) install valve cover
