Description of Change: A new cover group assembly provides improved protection for the tandem sight glass. The new cover assembly has plates to hold the rubber sight glass guard against the cover for improved protection of the sight glass.
Adaptable To: The new 152-2693 Cover Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 126-7190 Cover Assembly (not serviced). The new 152-2693 Cover Assembly is effective with 24H (7KK57) Motor Grader and is adaptable to all earlier machines. Former 126-7190 Cover Assemblies (not serviced) can be modified by fabricating four 152-2692 Plates (not serviced) and welding them to the covers.

Procedure To Fabricate And Install Plates On Existing Cover Assemblies

Fabrication dimensions for 152-2692 Plates (not serviced).
1. Fabricate four 152-2692 Plates (not serviced) to the dimensions shown in Illustration 3 and Chart 2. Use 2 mm (.087 in) thick manufacturer's standard carbon steel with a minimum yield strength of 140 MPa (20,320 psi).
