Installation Of Transmission Oil Distributor Sleeves{5208,3002,3159,3176}

Usage:


TH62 (3LN, 4TM) TH63 (3NN, 5WM) TH82 (3JN, 3KN) TH83 (3RN) Telehandlers

Reference: Service Manual Module SENR5840; Disassembly & Assembly TH62, TH63, TH82, & TH83 Telehandlers Power Train; "Assemble Converter Housing;" Page 69; Service Manual Module SENR5835.

NOTE: Prior to assembly make sure all components are clean. Precision fitted components will be damaged by foreign material.

The installation procedure of the "first and second," and "high and third," oil distribution sleeves used in Telehandler transmissions needs clarification.

Installation of 8I-4544 First and Second Oil Distributor Sleeve

1. Without thread lock, install the 8I-4525 Screw (9) into the 124-0671 Converter Housing (12) to use as a depth indicator.

2. Position 8I-4544 Sleeve (10) into the first and second bore of the converter housing with the inside diameter chamfer upwards and the notch in the sleeve aligned with the 8I-4525 screw.

3. Carefully drive the 8I-4544 Sleeve (10) into the housing. Illustration 2.

NOTE: The 8I-4544 Sleeve (10) will sit below the surface of the 124-0671 Converter Housing when properly installed.

4. Remove the 8I-4525 Screw (9) and reinstall with 9S-3263 Thread Lock.

NOTE: Use the 9S-3263 Thread Lock sparingly. Do not allow any adhesive to enter or plug hole in the set screw.

Installation of 8I-4526 Third and High Oil Distributor Sleeve

1. Without thread lock, install the 8I-4525 Screw (11) into the 124-0671 Converter Housing to use as a depth indicator.

2. Position 8I-4526 Sleeve (7) into the third and high bore of the converter housing with the inside diameter chamfer upwards and the notch in the sleeve aligned with the 8I-4525 screw.

3. Carefully drive the 8I-4526 Sleeve (7) into the housing.

NOTE: The 8I-4526 Sleeve (7) will sit above the surface of the 124-0761 Converter Housing when properly installed.

4. Remove the 8I-4525 Screw (11) and reinstall with 9S-3263 Thread Lock.

NOTE: Use the 9S-3263 Thread Lock sparingly. Do not allow any adhesive to enter or plug hole in the set screw.
