Improved Wiring Eliminates Hitch Control Fault 8 Code and Adds Additional Features{1408,5000,7314,1901}

Usage:

Challenger 65C (2ZJ),
Challenger 70C (2YL),
Challenger 75C (4KK),
Challenger 85C (9TK) Agricultural Tractors

Description of Change: A wiring harness change has been made leading to the 3 point hitch control group. Previously, the hitch control was powered during engine cranking. Occasionally, fault code 8 errors would be logged due to low voltage supply. The circuit has been changed to not power the hitch control during cranking.

Adaptable To: The wiring change is effective with Challenger 65C (2ZJ566), Challenger 70C (2YL243), Challenger 75C (4KK586), and Challenger 85C (9TK287) Agricultural Tractors. On earlier machines, the wiring may be modified as shown in the illustration to obtain power from the accessory circuit. The modification will cause the control to be non-powered during engine cranking.

Other changes include the addition of a cigar lighter in the right console and a T-Connection for obtaining radar signal when equipped with a performance monitor. The connection is located underneath the dash, on the right side just above where the wiring harness enters the cab. The outlet is a standard 4 pin connector and can be used by other OEM electrical controls to monitor true ground speed. See the Operation and Maintenance manual for wiring instructions.
