To Install The Sensor

1. Take a small screwdriver and pry nose piece (1) out until it no longer moves [approximately 6.5 mm (.25 in)]. Use the slots provided in the sides of the nose piece.

2. Screw the sensor into the transmission speed sender hole and tighten to 21 to 27 N·m (15 to 20 lb ft).

3. When the sensor is tightened, the nose piece contacts the gear face and slides back into the sensor body. After the sensor is fully tightened, the nose piece is at the correct air gap and no other adjustments are required.
