Usage:
NOTE: This Program can be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS40341" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The incorrect bolts were installed at the factory between the exhaust bellows and the turbo outlet on certain 3508B and 3512B Engines. The incorrect bolts do not provide the correct amount of thread engagement and could allow the bolts to loosen or fall out. The proper bolts can to be installed to prevent exhaust leaks.

Parts Needed
Action Required
1) Remove the turbo heat shield, if present.
2) Remove the 8 - 0S-1588 bolts between the Exhaust Bellows and the Turbo Outlet. (See Illustration #1)
3) Lubricate the threads of the 3B-1915 bolts with anti-seize.
4) Install the 8 - 3B-1951 B.
5) Tighten to 54 ± 4 N·m.
6) Install the turbo heat shield, if present, using the 140-9638 Cable.
