NOTE: This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS0965" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

The Nuttel gear box has four pipe fitting mounting flanges machined into the right side. The four threaded holes, that receive the flange studs, may have been machined through the case and allow oil to leak past the threads. The bottom flange is the flange that is suspect and may have oil leaking down the case.

Parts Needed
Action Required
If a leak is present;
1. Remove the nuts from the studs (16). Remove the pipe clamps and move the piping out of the way, and remove only the leaking studs with oil leaking around the threads.
2. Clean the threads on the studs and the internal threads of the housing to remove the liquid gasket material.
3. Apply 6V1541 Cleaner/Catalyst to the stud thread and internal threads of the housing.
4. Apply 7M7456 Sealing Compound to the stud threads and the internal threads of the housing and install the studs back into the housing.
5. Apply 6V1541 Cleaner/Catalyst to the flange area of the housing and then apply 6V6640 Flange Sealant to the surface before installing the piping and nuts.
