A New 5P9698 Frequency Calibrator Is Available For The Calibration Of Caterpillar Diagnostic Tools

Usage:

A 5P9698 Frequency Calibrator (see the Illustration) is now available for the calibration of Caterpillar diagnostic tools. Since Caterpillar diagnostic tools need to be checked for calibration every six months this instrument is an important part of the diagnostic equipment. The new frequency calibrator is a self-contained (all-in-one), battery operated oscillator with good accuracy. It can operate in any position and is easier to use than earlier calibration methods, which need a signal generator and a digital frequency counter. The output frequencies shown on the front panel are held within ± .02% for ambient (outside) air temperatures from 32°F (0°C) to 140°F (60°C). The single 9V transistor battery, the calibrator's power source, will last 300 hours.

The 5P9698 Frequency Calibrator can be used for calibration of the diagnostic tools that follow:

1. 1P5500 Phototach (all scales).
2. 9S2000 Hydraulic Flow Meter (GPM and RPM scales).
3. 5P3600 Hydraulic Flow Meter (GPM and RPM scales).
4. Plus two new diagnostic tools that will be available in the future.
