Some of the torque conversions listed in the chart are incorrect. The torques given in N·m are correct. The correct conversions are: 410 N·m (300 lb ft), 800 N·m (590 lb ft), and 600 N·m (440 lb ft).
--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------
Thread lock is now used during the assembly of the piston to the cylinder rod on certain suspension cylinders used on the above articulated dump trucks. When these suspension cylinders are overhauled or repaired, 9S3263 Thread Lock should be applied to the first two threads on the cylinder rod before installing the piston. Be sure the threads in the piston and on the cylinder rod are clean and free of foreign material before the thread lock is applied. The chart lists the models and suspension cylinder part numbers that require the thread lock. The tightening torque for the pistons is also listed.
