3208 Engines Equipped With Turbocharger
Description of Change: A new seal and new inlet tube assemblies from the exhaust manifold to the turbocharger are available for parts service for 3208 Engines with turbochargers.
The new tube assemblies have a bellows type design, which is more flexible than the former rigid tubes. See the Illustration. The new seal and new tube assemblies will prevent leakage of exhaust gas that was possible with the former rigid tubes.
Adaptable As: Direct replacement when the new parts are used together, as shown in the chart. See Chart B to determine which air lines group is used for each engine arrangement.
Tubes with the improved bellows design are in effect on truck engines with Serial Number 2Z02869 and industrial engines Serial Number 3Z02477.
