Usage:
Start By:
a. Install the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Remove five bolts (1) and the washers that hold heat shield (2) to the rear frame.
2. Remove two bolts (3) and the washers from heat shield (4).
3. Remove two bolts (5) and the washers. Remove heat shield (4) from the machine.
4. Remove heat shield (2) from the machine.
5. Remove bolt (7), the nut and the washer. Slide clamp (6) toward the front of the machine.
6. Loosen the nut and remove clamp (8).
7. Remove exhaust tube (9) and gasket (10) from the machine.
8. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to the purifier and muffler assembly. Remove the purifier and muffler assembly from the machine. The weight of the purifier and muffler assembly is 18 kg (40 lb).
9. Loosen the nut and remove clamp (12). Remove purifier (11) from muffler (13). Remove the gasket from between the purifier and the muffler.
Installation Procedure
NOTE: Before the installation of the purifier and muffler assembly, make sure the exhaust compartment is clean and free of foreign material.
1. Put purifier (11) in position on muffler (13). Install the gasket between the purifier and the muffler. Install clamp (12) and tighten the nut.
2. Apply 8T-9013 High Temperature RTV Silicone Sealant to the inside surface of the muffler mount.
3. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to the purifier and muffler assembly. Put the purifier and muffler assembly in position in the exhaust compartment. Make sure the lower muffler tube is engaged in the muffler mount. The weight of the purifier and muffler assembly is 18 kg (40 lb).
4. Apply 8T-9013 High Temperature RTV Silicone Sealant to the outside surface of the turbocharger adapter.
5. Put exhaust tube (9) in position on the turbocharger adapter and on the purifier and muffler assembly.
6. Install gasket (10) between exhaust tube (9) and purifier (11).
7. Install clamp (8) and tighten the nut.
8. Put clamp (6) in position, as shown. Apply 5P-3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads of bolt (7). Install bolt (7), the nut and the washer.
9. Put heat shield (4) in position, as shown.
10. Put heat shield (2) in position, as shown. Install five bolts (1) and the washers.
11. Install two bolts (5) and the washers that hold heat shield (4) to heat shield (2).
12. Install two bolts (3) and the washers that hold heat shield (4) to cover (2).
