Usage:
Start By:
a. Install the steering frame lock pin. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock Pin - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
NOTE: Put identification marks on all wires for installation purposes.
1. On machines equipped with the optional Autodig system, disconnect the Autodig hood light harness from electrical connector (1).
2. Remove hood strut mounting bolt (2) and the washer from the mount on the rear frame.
3. Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to engine hood (3), as shown.
4. Remove four bolts (4) and the washers. Remove engine hood (3). The weight of the hood is 41 kg (90 lb).
Installation Procedure
1. Attach a hoist and suitable lifting chains to engine hood (3) and install it on the machine. The weight of the hood is 41 kg (90 lb).
2. Install four bolts (4) and the washers that hold hood (3) to the crossbeam.
3. Install hood strut mounting bolt (2) and the washer on the mount on the rear frame.
4. On machines equipped with the optional Autodig system, connect the Autodig hood light harness to electrical connector (1).
