Start By:

  1. Remove the piston motor.

  1. Attach the piston motor to Tooling (A) or suitable fixture.

  2. Remove bolt (1), sensor (2), and the O-ring seal.

  3. Remove bolts (3), cover (4), and the O-ring seal.

  4. Remove bolt (5). Use Tooling (B) to remove gear (6).

  5. Remove bolts (7) and cover (8).

  6. Remove plug (9), O-ring seal (10), washers (11), and retainer (12) from cover (8). Remove O-ring seal (13), O-ring seal (14), spring (15), and piston (16) from cover (8).

  7. Remove bushing (17).

  8. Remove pilot valve (24) and washers (23) from bushing (17). Remove spring (18), retaining ring (19), ring (20), spring (21), and retainer (22) from bushing (17).

  9. Remove bolts (25), (26), and housing (27).

    Note: Note the location of pipes (28) and washers (29) for assembly purposes.

  10. Remove pipes (28), and washers (29).

  11. Remove control plate (30).

  12. Remove O-ring seals (31) and back up rings (32) from pipes (28).

  13. Use Tooling (C) to remove bearing cup (33).

  15. Remove fittings (35) and the O-ring seals.

  16. Measure the length of adjustment screws (36) and (37) for assembly purposes and remove.

  17. Remove valve assembly (38) from the housing.

  18. Remove plug (39) and the O-ring seal from the housing.

  19. Remove guide (43), spring (42), guide (41), and plunger (40) from the housing.

  20. Install Tooling (D) onto the motor housing.

  21. Use Tooling (E) to remove bearing cone (44) (not shown).

  22. Remove ring (45).

  23. Remove Tooling (D).

  24. Remove rotating assembly (46) from the housing.

  25. Remove rod (47) from the rotating assembly.

  26. Remove piston (48) and (49) from the rotating assembly.

  27. Remove O-ring seal (50) from piston (49). Repeat for the other piston.

  28. Remove shaft assembly (51) from the rotating assembly.

  29. Use Tooling (F) and a suitable press to remove bearing race (52) and bearing cone (53) from shaft assembly (51).

  30. Remove barrel (54) from the rotating group.

  31. Use Tooling (G) and a suitable press to remove retaining ring (55) from barrel (54).

  32. Remove shims (59), washer (58), spring (57), and washer (56) from barrel (54).

  33. Raise the temperature of swashplate (63). Remove bolts (60), plate (61), shims (62), and sleeves (66) from swashplate (63). Repeat for the opposite side.

  34. Remove retainer (65) and pistons (64).

  35. Remove pistons (64) from retainer (65).

  37. Remove cradle bearings (69).

  38. Use Tooling (G) to remove lip seal (70).
