Personal injury can result from removing hoses or fittings in a pressure system. Failure to relieve pressure can cause personal injury. Do not remove or disconnect hoses or fittings until all pressure in the air system has been relieved. |

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool. |
- If equipped with a sound suppression arrangement, refer to Special Instruction, "Installation of the 351-3820 Sound Suppression Ar (If Equipped)" for specific panel locations and the correct removal or installation procedure.
- Relieve the air system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release".

Illustration 1 g06309778 - Disconnect hose assembly (1) and hose assemblies (2).
- Attach a suitable lifting device onto air starting motor (4). The weight of air starting motor (4) is approximately
29.5 kg (65 lb) . Remove bolts (3) and air starting motor (4).
- Install air starting motor (4) in the reverse order of removal.
