The Monitor will activate, display, and log events for machine conditions that are not within normal operating parameters. The Monitor will detect some of the events that are not within normal operating parameters. However, many of these events are detected by the other control modules on the machine.

The Monitor receives this event data by using the J1939 Data Link. The level of the warning response will be determined depending on the severity of the problem. The event warnings are classified into three warning levels. The warning level determines which response is required by the operator. Warning Level 1 represents the least severe problem and Warning Level 3 represents the most severe problem. The warning levels, monitor response, and the required operator actions are given below.

Warning Level 1 - Graphic Display - requires operator awareness.

Warning Level 2 - Graphic Display and Action Lamp - requires a change in the operation of the machine or a change in the maintenance of the machine to correct the condition.

Warning Level 3 - Graphic Display, Action Lamp, and Action Alarm - requires immediate shutdown of the machine to prevent damage to the machine or personnel.

When multiple warnings are present in the system, the highest warning level is shown first. If no keys are pressed within 5 seconds, the display will return to the highest level warning.

The Event Icon List display all active events. The list orders the higher-level warnings first, with the red furthest left, and gray furthest right. The current selected icon will be highlighted with yellow box surrounding the icon. Use the arrows on the display to navigate to the highlighted icon pop-up message.

If equipped with a jog dial, turn the jog dial left and right to change the highlighted icon and press down on the jog dial to navigate to the highlighted icon pop-up message.

Arrows will appear at either side of the icon list if there are too many icons to display on a single bar. The arrow will navigate to the next set of icons instantly rather than the next icon from the bold one.
