Rocker Arm - Disassemble

Usage:

C7.1 GJN

Disassembly Procedure

Reference: Special Instruction, "Visual Service Procedures - Colors and Symbols" M0066576.

Start By:

  1. Remove the rocker arm and shaft.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  1. Make an identification mark on each rocker arm assembly to show the location.

    Note: The components must be reinstalled in the original location. Do not interchange components.

Note: The rocker arm assembly for the inlet valve is longer than the rocker arm assembly for the exhaust valve.
