Exhaust Bypass Valve - Remove and Install

Usage:

G3516 AL7

Removal Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove hose (1), tubes (2) and (3), and shielding (4).

  2. Remove shielding (6).

  3. Remove nuts (7) and exhaust bypass (5).

Installation Procedure

Inspect all gaskets for wear and damage. Obtain a new gasket, if necessary.

  1. Install exhaust elbow (21) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten 2 diagonal nuts (15) to a torque of 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft). Tighten remaining nuts (15) to a torque of 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft). Tighten all nuts to 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7lb ft).
