Note: Always practice Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention.

  1. Ensure that all preremoval steps are performed for the Extended Runtime Cabinet (EXRC) before gaining access to the internal components. Refer to Operation & Maintenance Manual, UENR4695, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (FPU Cabinet)" for the preremoval procedure.

Note: The system must be shut down before removal steps can be performed.

  2. Remove and retain one 3/8 inch bolt and washers and nut each side of the inductor cables (5) to attach the cables to the IGBT common bus (3).

  3. Remove communications wiring from the plug on the side of the transducer.

  4. Remove the two transducer mounting screws from the transducer mount.

  5. Slide transducer up and over the ends of the inductor cables (5).

  6. Remove the transducer from the EXRC.

  7. Install the replacement transducer (6) around the two inductor cables (5).

  8. Position the transducer (6) on the mount. Secure with the hardware removed in the previous steps.

  9. Secure the inductor cables (5) to the IGBT common bus (3).

  10. Reattach the communications wiring to the plug on the side of the transducer (6).

  11. Replace any other components that were removed earlier.

  12. Check all connections.

  13. Prepare the UPS and EXRC for operation.

  14. Return the system to service.
